Hi, I've been shooting with my D300 since it's debut. I did an advanced order for it and have never been sorry. Awesome camera! It actually replaced my 70 as my primary cam, which is now by backup. The best investment I made in lenses is my 70-200 VR 2.8 Telephoto. The results coming from this lens has been amazing! Among my other lenses I also bought the Tokina 11-16 2.8 Super Wide Angle after test driving Nikon's equivalent. The Tokina way outdid the Nikon in quality of final product in my opinion. I was contemplating the additional purchase of the D300S but I continue to prefer a separate video cam from my still. Personal preference. I hope to meet more members since I'm only a couple days here on My Shutterspace. Come say Hello and as to befriend since my request are currently full. Thanks ~ Lea

Hello, everyone
D300 with Zeiss 1,4 / 50 or Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 D - for portrait?
What is your opinion?

Just bought a D300s and 16-85 VR. It replaced a D70 with 18-70. I have seven other lenses, one remaining D70 body, and two SB-800 flashes. I bought the D300s because it was time to move to the next level after being a D70 shooter since March 2004.
