Sorry, it has been a while, I wanted to use this camera to see what it had to offer. I own a D5100 which is a great camera and I actually preferred it over my D200 (now sold). I loved the D5100 for it's low-light handling and sharp images. I asked someone what was the difference (other than the sensor-size) between DX (Crop Sensor) and FX (Full Frame) cameras. That person told me, "Nothing!". But I had to try it myself and WOOOOW! This camera is awesome!!! I know a lot of people are comparing it to the D7000 and now the D7100 which I have not tried. Having a full frame sensor makes a BIG difference. I didn't jump for the D700 because I wanted more resolution (megapixels) since the D5100 is 16MP. Didn't go for the D800 because I felt it was a bit too much resolution at 36MP. 24MP was the sweet-spot for me. I have had nothing but great results using this camera. I do miss a few features but I think I can live without them. 1/8000th shutter speed which I had never used on my D200, flash sync speed of 1/250th of a sec which I also never really used. The one thing that I did use was the PC tech port to connect directly to my strobes, but I got a really reliable (knock on wood) wireless flash trigger kit.

So far I use three lenses w/ the D600... the Nikkor 24-120mm VR f/3.5-5.6, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF, and the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8. Shopping around currently for the Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 AFS.

Let me know what you think of this camera. Serious comments only from people who actually spent time using this camera are welcome. Please do not start any rivalries.

Hello WIll, I am debating between a D7000 and the D600 for an upgrade from a D80 and I wonder if you use your 600 for landscape photography and if so what lens you are using.
