I've had a problem, maybe you might be able to help me with.

I got an external hard drive, formatted it on the Mac moved over all of my photo files to get them off the computer, no problem worked straight away.

Yesterday and today plugged the drive in and it didn't show up on the side bar, the Mac will not detect it. I opened Disk Utility and it didn't even show up in there either. Now I'm stuffed if my computer can't access the drive with my work on and I don't know how to tell it to find it.....HELP!

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm using PS CS4 with macbook 3.1 (later 2007), takes forever to open PS... :-(
click PS icon, about 2-3min to open. does any one know why takes long time N can I fix this problem ? please help.

Hi Rob,

I've got Aperture 3, just trialed it, now I'm in the process of upgrading. It's a fabulous piece of software. Been using A2 for about a year and although it had some limitations, I can say without doubt that A3 has put rest to all of the ones I can currently think of.

I would recommend it to Pro or serious photographer alike. There's a group on here that deals with A3, it would be well worth joining and adding your input if you do decide to go down the Aperture route.
