I visited a local beauty spot yesterday Caen Hill locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal and played around with a number of lenses to learn so comments would be really welcomed.

Thank you Joe for your critique, appreciate it. Now, I would like to know which one of these photos should I enter. It is between This one and the next one that I post. Thanks again.

Sandra, the second one is the the one I like... It seems the compo is better and yet they are the same

I am going to upload two photos. I would appreciate any feedback about which one I should submit for a competition to a local photography group I am with. Thanks, all.

Thank you for your feedback it is greatly appericated

Hi Andy, the shot looks good but it is the kind of shot that you should break out the tripod, switch to manual, set the ISO at about 100, Set the fstop to f8.0, and slow the exposure time down to about 3-5 seconds. You will then get the detail of the foreground also in the photo. You need to experiment with the exposure time but if you keep the ISO on 100 and at least f8 you will find an exposure time that will produce a stunning photo.
