Some camera stores recently offered FujiFilm IS Pro cameras for less than half of what they were when I was looking at them a few years ago so picked one up. Ordered Hoya RM 72 and RM 90 filters. Today was first day shooting IR, using only the RM 72 so far. I'm getting a ghost of the aperture right in the middle of the image with the 72. Hard to see if there's a lot of contrast but it is there; quite noticeable disk in center when imaging blue sky between clouds. I get the disk at all apertures - large diffuse disk with large apertures, smaller sharper disk with small apertures. I haven't tried the RM 90 yet.
The shots were made facing west in AM with low sun angel at my back. Any pointers on how to minimize this "distraction"?
F no Disk diameter in pixels on image
f/4 approx 1130 pixels
f/7.1 approx 750 pixels
f/14 approx 340 pixels
f/16 approx 290 pixels
I photoshopped an image of the moon into one of the pictures but...
Appreciate any suggestions.
