Also beautiful! Here in the Netherlands 6 containers is max.  (2 wide, 3 long). The rivers are very sinuous...

I remember watching the locks there in the Netherlands, only saw pleasure boats. This is along the Mississippi river in New Orleans.

These big ships never go near the locks. On the river 'de Waal' you can see lots of DUWBOTEN. From Rotterdam harbor to the Ruhr in Germany.

Didn't notice them when I was in Rotterdam, a relative was part of a ship rebuilding project there for some Viking looking ship and I didn't pay much attention to anything else.
