Ok I will warn readers of this before you get to much further...this is a bit of a vent. I was at a charity event this past weekend- Toys for Tots. The folks putting it on were Trainers for an exercise routine. Bring a toy and participate in a free work out of a very well publicized work out routine. One of the trainers was a friend of mine and asked if I would take pictures of the event since I was both a client and a friend. I offered no problem. I had no intentions of putting my name on the photos because this was for them and I was doing this as a friend for Charity. Beside the fact this wasn't normally the type of photography I want to do. Either way I haven't even edited my first photo and now one of the participants (non trainer) has asked the trainers what they plan to do with the photos because they didn't sign a media release. Of course the trainers panicked, and I completely understand why. The event even though charity was totally to promote their business. Either way I am helping them with getting a media release together it just frustrates me how person can ruin a good deed for everyone. I know that a media release is better to obtain not to have but now these folks are going to be doing extra work since one person wants to be unsharing this time of year. Oh well. I just hope that person is a professional model and makes it worth it. I think I am more upset about the fact that person may not sign the release and they won't be able to use any of the photos they are in. Ok Vent done. Please feel free to comment but I do ask to be respectful. ;) Thanks!
