If you browse my gallery, you'd see I love shooting landscapes too :D
And for landscapes, the best lens would be.. A WIDE angle lens :)
The one I have is the Sigma 10-20mm lens, It's not very expensive (less than 500 euros anyway), it's an excellent lens and almost never leaves my camera body :)
I'd advise you to go for it if you want a cheap but good one :)
A landscape at 10mm focal length looks amazing!

Yeah! Sigma 10-20 would be very good. You get all the nice landscape with that one. You can also bye a 20-300mm Tamron there you can get closer the subject and also used like a wide angle.
Thanks for the repleys all!
Ok so my best choice for now is the sigma or the canon.
I can purchase a canon EF 22-55mm for 60 euro second hand. is this a valuable lens besides a good wide angle? I've done some research but most sites state that this is a el-cheapo lens ;-)
But for 60 euros? Always nice to be in the collection?
I was going to purchase the 24mm prime from Canon.........but......somelse noted that maybe the 17-40 mm L is more alround and worth considering.
This is 3 x the price of the prime but you can do more with it.
I looked at the prices here in Holland:
24mm prime = 268 euro
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 USM L = 578 euro.
So the zoom is a bit above my budget and the prime is well below.....what about that 17-40? Can i shoot good landscapes with that also?
Ehhm I read some dutch forums and allot of people are very happy with it.
DD above stated the tokina so I went for review search. First I was goiing for the Sigma but the reviews state Tokina is a bit better. Canon is better, but 200 euro more!!
