Hello,

My husband and I are planning to go to Vietnam and Bali for about a 2-3 weeks this Christmas holiday. Anyone here has any recommendations for some good photo locations at both places?

Regards,

C.Jonnes

Christine.. visiting Lake Kintamani in Bali just before the sunsrise is a must!
If you can, try to rent a car with a local driver who can speak english, so you don't have to worry about getting lost.. ;)

Do you how much did it cost you to rent a car with a local driver per day?

what kind of photo you want to create ?

There is so many place there you can see an ethnique special from bali.

If you go to kintamani, there is so many thing there. The sun, dead body, a coin.
But if you want to use a boat to go to the island, you have to make sure about the price. sometimes the boat driver try to cheat on you to gain more money (usually around US$ 5 or around IDR 50.000) to land to the island. Not always... just sometimes.

You can go to sangeh too, a pura (temple) with many monkey there.

Mostly landscape..and probably some locals with their daily routines..
The crops at Kintamani sounds interesting.. I'm not sure about the monkeys at Sangeh.. I heard they're really naughty. :P

Once I went to Sangeh, that`s right Christine... the monkeys are naughty, you have to keep watching your goods otherwise they will 'steal / grab' it, but don`t worry.. after you give a peanut or any food to him (the one that stole yours) he will give your goods back. It`s sound funny but real... just enjoy it.
But if you can`t stand with naughty monkey, you`ve better to delete Sangeh from your list, there`re still hundred objects to visit in Bali.

Furthermore, Bali has an amazing landscape scenary for photography, as a bonus Bali also has a unique joyful human tradition, highly recommended. You will spend your time faster there and wish to come back again someday.

Cheers,
Lutfi
